About
My name’s Chris. My parents were immigrants from Vietnam, and I was raised in upstate New York, where my parents worked hard to provide me a good, healthy childhood and a good, solid western education. I graduated from Brandeis University in 1997, and started a lucrative job in consulting, where I made more money than I probably deserved, and went about spending it frivolously whenever I was sad, lonely or stressed.
Which is to say was pretty much all the time.
I quit the consulting life a couple years ago. The decision was based on me finally getting fed up with consulting, enjoying a modicum of success in real estate and my father’s cancer relapse. I stayed with my parents while my Dad quickly faded away, while trying to to make a living investing in real estate.
Before my father’s funeral, I was unable to duplicate my prior real estate successes. After it, something in me broke, and I stopped trying to invest in real estate. I sold my house. I sold my cars. I traveled. I’ve been to 4 or 5 countries, including Vietnam, where my parents first came from.
I realize now:
- Money could only make me feel good temporarily.
- Every dollar in my bank account is one more degree of freedom I have to allow me to do what I want to do, take care of my loved ones, and ultimately guide my own destiny.
I want to show you how to:
- Save more money - Squirrel away those nuts for rainy days
- Spend less money - Use the Internet to reduce your spending and budgeting
- Make some money - Home-based businesses opportunities, both on-line and off
Notice a pattern here? Sure, money won’t make you happy, but it will make your life easier. And I’d much rather have an easier life than a difficult one.
