The easiest business you can start today

For the right person who lives in the right place, it doesn’t get easier than this.
FON is a new company that is giving away wireless routers to people who live near Starbucks coffeeshops. Their definition of “near” is within Wireless Internet distance. If you live “near” a Starbucks, they want to partner up with you.
To use T-Mobile wireless Internet access from a Starbucks is exorbitantly expensive ($10). Instead, FON aims to provide you with a way to provide a low cost ($2) way for Starbucks drinkers to access the Internet, using your bandwidth and location.
Sure, you’re using your Internet connection, but in all likelihood, you’re not using all of your bandwidth anyway.
If you live near a popular Starbucks in a major city, you could make some decent money. The software, billing and harward is all provided to you, and no one need ever know that you’re living a secret life as an Internet Service Provider.
And if YOU don’t live near a Starbucks, maybe you have a friend that does. You may even be nice enoguh to tell them about the opportunity.

Sounds like a pretty simple business idea. It seem most of the good ones are. Complicating business with to much complexity keeps people from starting, increases overhead and decreases profitablility. Yet it seems this is the cycle of most traditional business ideas.
